As an outcome of the nationally implemented project “From Equal Rights - To Equal Opportunities”, a National Plan of Action on Disability (NPAD) was elaborated for the period of 2006-2010. The NPAD will be published in a single book shortly.

Within the framework of coalition program “From Equal Rights - To Equal Opportunities”, an international conference was held at the International Post-Trauma Rehabilitation Center of the Armenian Red Cross (address: Yerevan, Ashtarak Highway 50/1). The conference took place on February 11 and 12, 2005 (beginning at 12:00). The program has been implemented with support of the European Union since June 2004 by the coalition of “Havat” and “Unison” NGOs. The program is aimed at elaboration of the National Plan of Action on Disability (NPAD) and is implemented in Yerevan and all the marzes of Armenia. The conference goal was to discuss the draft law on NPAD. The results of the monitoring carried out in all the marzes and in Yerevan was also presented at the conference. Representatives from the National Assembly of RoA and Ministries, governors of all the marzes, representatives from marz authorities and NGOs, Yerevan’s NGOs, as well as international organisations, private foundations and mass media had been invited to participate in the conference.
